    Here for your consideration is this beautiful Hattie Carnegie Egyptian Revival pendant necklace. The Egyptian Revival series was introduced in the 1960’s in celebration of the Egyptian “Boy King” Pharaoh Tutankhamen who was then captivating the public’s imagination. The Egyptian Revival series was designed by Hattie Carnegie, the series is well known, highly desirable and collectible. This particular necklace is hard to find in this color and rare. This is part of the Egyptian Revival series, it is a pendent style attached to a book chain necklace. The pendant represents a Lotus flower a symbolic of purity and is an emblem of resurrection in Egyptian antiquity. The lotus pendent depicts a fan with dangling beads. It is made of gold plated base metal that is enameled in shades of cream and off white. Seven strands of cream colored beads embellished with gold tone spacers dangle from the pendant. The pendant portion of the necklace measures approximately 4 ½ inches by 1 ¾ inches. The gold tone box chain necklace contains two each off white colored elongated beads and it measures approximately 22 inches. The necklace attaches by a plain spring ring type clasp. This magnificent piece is signed on the reverse with her signature oval cartouche "Hattie Carnegie." You can view a similar copy of this wonderful piece in as shown in book "Classic American Costume Jewelry, Vol. 2" by Jacqueline Rehmann. The condition of this piece very nice as you can see in the pictures and will shine nice and new with a nice warm bath. There is slight wear to the reverse consistent with its age and use.
