Nout Nabout Ironworker Safety Hold Down --- Hand Protection Shear Metal

Nout Nabout (In/Out and About) System is for use with manually-operated ironworker machines!
A defensive form of hand and bodily protection:  This new product allows for holding and cutting shorter or smaller parts, in an ironworker machine's bar or plate shear, while keeping your hands back from the hazard zone!
This serves as personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize cutting and pinching risks!  Use of this tool should begin when the stock becomes too short for the operator to be comfortable.  This is usually well outside the present original equipment fixed guard area.
The three-piece set has tools for holding work up to 1/8 inch (3.175mm), 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch (3.175 to 6.35mm) and 1/4 to 3/8 inch (6.35 to 9.525mm)
NOTE:  The model and size available now, and shown herein, is not recommended for shearing machines that have active hold-downs.  This type would have a hold down that moves down, under machine power,  when the work is sheared, rather than set in place manually by the operator.  the tool available now is only recommended for bar shear of ironworkers, and not wide steel plate shears.
*Strong neodymium magnets fix the tool to the workpiece, and allow the user to place the work piece accurately for shearing tough-to-get to lines.
*Two tools of the same thickness-rating can be used, as-shown, for ripping longer, narrow workpieces up to 3/8" thick!
*The sets are fully manufactured in the USA, and constructed of extruded Aluminum with Stainless Steel cap screws that attach the handling knob.  High quality for years of shop use!
*Graduations down the side of tool can be marked with a "sharpie" to give reference points of distance from the shear blade, making set-ups faster.
*A photo is shown of a miter-saw support insert which was free-hand cut with Nout Nabout tools!  They are fully movable about the infeed table of the ironworker shown, then they are cinched down appropriately with the machine's hold-down bar!  Magnets under the tool near the machine table help keep work in place while positioning for cuts and usually allow the hands to be pulled away during the operational cycle!
*Photos also illustrate soap stone lines for setting up to cut with the tool holding the work, and keeping your hands out of the way!  Finer lines can also be adhered to with the same Nout Nabout System method!
*Tool bodies are 8.375" inches overall, 3/4" thick, and 1.5" wide.  The back measure increments require careful reading of the enclosed instruction sheet.
