Description

Rolleicord I Art Deco 6x6cm pre-WWII film camera with case.  Condition is Used.  The Carl Zeiss Jena Triotar 7.5 cm f4.5 taking lens is good, minimal dust, very minor marks.  The Compur shutter works at all speeds and sound OK to the ear.    Shutter blades are intact and have no oil, aperture can be changed without issues.
The Heidomat viewing lens is fine too, some minor wiping marks. Focusing is smooth.
The body of the camera is in very good shape, only very little wear on the metal plating is visible, remarkable for a camera that is around 85 years old.  It must have been kept in the leather case consistently.  There is some dust and minor grime in the crevices.  Film advance works ok, film counter works properly, the tiny knob on the round metal circular protrusion on the right side (of which the black paint has faded) is missing but resetting the counter is still  easy.  Viewfinder is fine, although a bit dime as is common with these types of cameras. Loupe is intact and functional.  The case is also very good, even the strap is still strong (they are usually quite brittle).  The inside of the camera is good.  The little red window on the bottom plate is intact.  Opening and closing the camera works fine.  The metal screw that fastens the case against the bottom of the camera is missing but this is not an impediment to keeping the case in place.
Very nice vintage pre-WWII camera that has been well preserved over the years.
The  serial number engraved in taking lens is 1473066.  Based on information on a well-known Rollei website, this appears to be an early model from around 1933.
