Description
This is an auction... for a very hard to find original GI bring back from the Nam. A Jungle Boonie Hat, made "in country" using WWII green dominant Parachute Camouflage 2nd Pattern "duck hunter" cloth, used up to the Korean War. . A small sample is included with the auction. This hat has a 3" rim and finely 1/8" space khaki thread seams to adhere the thin parachute material to the substrate. An adjustable chinstrap is sewn on to the inside Dark black/green liner. 2 air vents on each side of hat. Right side has a snap "Aussie style" made by "Kane M" . Some photos show Advisors with booth sides up "cowboy style" using the chin strap to hold up the brim. Hat size is a smaller 6.5- 6 5/8" No rips or tears.Early Vietnam Era
