    ABOUT OG-107 & OG-507 UNIFORMS:
US ARMY UNIFORMS IN THE 1960s AND THE 1970s WERE A CONTINUED PROGRESSION OF THE UNIFORMS OF THE 1950s.
THE 1970s SAW AN UPDATE TO SHIRTS LIKE THIS MOTIVATED BY THE HOT WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LESSONS LEARNED IN VIETNAM.
THE OG-107 WAS THE BASIC WORK UTILITY UNIFORM OF ALL BRANCHES OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES FROM 1952 UNTIL ITS DISCONTINUATION IN 1989.
THE DESIGNATION OG-XXX CAME FROM THE US ARMY's COLOR SHADE CODE FOR OLIVE GREEN 107 AND OLIVE GREEN 507.
OG-107 AND OG-507 ARE SHADES OF DARK GREEN, THE OG-107 UNIFORM IS COTTON AND OG-507 IS A POLYESTER-COTTON BLEND INTRODUCED IN THE EARLY 1970s. REGARDLESS OF THE FABRIC, THE TWO SHADES OF OLIVE DRAB GREEN ARE ALMOST IDENTICAL.
