    Description
    Unique VOIGTLANDER "Brillant" (1935) The
Original "Pre Production" Model and only known example with "Rotating Side Door
" (See photos 8 & 9). The production Brillant was changed to a hinged swing open door.
    Format: 6X6 cms.
    Uses readily
    available 120 film.
With Excellent Voigtlander Voigtar f:4.5 7.5 cm.
    uncoated Lens, Gautier
    Shutter with speeds from 1 sec. to 1/175  T. & B.
Focusing from 1 Meter to inf.
This Model was never produced commercially.
The "Brillant" is in Exceptional exterior and Fully Working Ready to Use Condition.
The Shutter works at all speeds and appears to be  accurate.
The f: 4.5  7.5 cm Voigtar lens is clean. There are no scratches or cleaning marks.
I believe it will still produce excellent results. The camera body has no dents, dings, scratches  and only a few light edge marks and light signs of age and handling.
(Really Incredible considering It's Celebrated its 85th  Birthday!)
(see All 14 High Definition photos).
The camera has the Attractive Raised VOIGTLANDER logo and Brillant Name in raised letters
on the lower  front and back.
The Very Attractive Bakelite body still  look close to new. (Bakelite was the First Moldeable Plastic). It permitted Voigtlander to make a highly precision instrument without the very expensive and complicated processes involved in manufacturing a metal body yet with All the precise focusing, Optical excelence and  shutter precisions.
The Satin and Bright Chrome plating is in Excellent condition.
The black Lacquer paint on the Voigtlander Logo  is complete and in Superb condition
    .
Internally there are almost no signs the camera has ever been used. Focusing
    is accurate and
the image is Extremely Bright in even
the dullest light . In fact it has by far, the Brightest Focusing Image of any other TLR!
    Focusing is smooth and accurate.
    The
    Magnifying lens Viewfinder makes the
brightest image even under very low light conditions
    .
The camera opens and closes correctly and has an "Easy Loading System".
(See Photos 13 & 14 for complete Film Loading instructions )
Please see all photos of the  actual camera to appreciate its Exceptional  condition.
Purchased  as a collectible used a few times for testing  and for display and Always Carefully stored!
    The BRILLANT
cameras were made for only a Very few year period  before WWII and with the highest  precision construction.
They are considered to be among the Very Best "Pre-War" TLR's.
    A
lmost always found in used condition.
Extremely rare, and possibly unique, in this Incredibly Beautiful exterior and full functioning state with only the very slightest signs of age or handling
.  A Really Unique and Unusual "Ready to use" and Unusual display camera.
From my extensive collection of rare Vintage camera that I am selling because of my age. I will be listing hundreds of rare Vintage cameras over the next months.
My 100 Percent Positive Feedback over 1,900 times speaks for the accuracy of my descriptions.
Carefully Packed shipping World Wide. Combined shipping possible.  The Brillant cameras were relatively inexpensive when compared to a pre war Rolleiflex but still beyond the means of most working people during the "Great Depression".
I should also mention the camera has a Unique
    "Automatic" Advance Film Counter.
Just wind the film until No. 1 appears in the red window, Set the shutter and exposure, Push the lever in the middle, Wind  the film advance until it stops automatically. The film counter "Rewinds" Automatically.
There is no "hidden reserve" and my asking price is commesurate with the cameras Exceptional Condition.
I should mention that the Voigtar lenses, although uncoated, were individually inspected by Voigtlander for color correction. They will produce excellent color as well as black and white images.
